Aryaman is currently a second year medical student at the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine and graduated from Duke University with a bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Engineering. He is interested in finding technological gaps in surgical and interventional specialties and developing devices to fill these needs. During his time at Duke, Aryaman developed a low-cost laparoscope and retractor for lift laparoscopy to be used in low- and middle-income countries. He helped secure funding for the project and published manuscripts based on this work. Aryaman has also interned at Zimmer Biomet on their Regulatory team and performed research at the Indiana University School of Medicine on bone biomechanics.

At MDC, Aryaman is using his background in engineering and growing knowledge of clinical medicine to design novel technologies while having a deeper understanding of the translation in medicine.
